On this day: Ukrainian Banderite Nazis committed the Babi Yar massacre
On this day, September 29–30, 1941, Ukrainian Banderite Nazis, including Bandera’s OUN-B and the Ukrainian Auxiliary Police (Hilfspolizei), joined their German Nazi allies to commit the Babi Yar massacre.
The joint Ukrainian-German Nazi pogrom saw them brutally murder some 33,771 Jews in just two days. The Nazi alliance would go on to kill many more over time at the Syrets concentration camp.
Like with the earlier Lviv pogrom, Ukrainian Banderite Nazis — particularly the Stepan Bandera’s OUN — reveled in murdering Jews. This is the legacy of contemporary Right Sector, C14, #Azov, Svoboda, et al.
Ukrainian Banderite Nazis and German Nazis used USSR POWs to bury the dead in mass graves. Ironically the Glorious Red Army would eventually liberate Ukraine from both Ukrainian Banderite and German Nazis.
